The NAPEC Innovation Challenge (NAPEC IC) brings together student entrepreneurs from top universities to compete for over $20K in cash prizes. Thinking outside the box moves markets and shapes future consumer demands. The competition is designed to help and reward students who want to pursue an innovative business idea, develop a technology into a marketable product, or have a new approach to a difficult problem or compelling opportunity. The finalists have the opportunity to showcase their ideas to entrepreneurs, investors and venture capitalists and receive valuable feedback on their ventures. The objective of the challenge is for student teams to conceptualize an innovative product or service, and create a business plan for the product/service’s commercialization. Competition judges are entrepreneurs, C-level executives, and investors who volunteer their time to meet with students who are interested in marketing their new innovative ideas.

"Participating in the NAPEC conference was a great milestone and accelerator for my company, Empire Robotics. Throughout the application process and through the competition, we received focused and constructive feedback on our business, our technology, and the plan we have to commercialize. The judges were active and candid in their thoughts and questions for us, and we had valuable conversations following the competition with the judges who continued to support us. Through attendance of the conference, Empire Robotics made several beneficial new relationships with potential partners, investors, and advisors to help us succeed. Overall, this was an extremely valuable event to participate in and we are very appreciative of the generous prize and supportive NAPEC community we came away with."

"The NAPEC Innovation conference was a great opportunity for Jibon Health Technologies, Inc. to gain exposure, feedback, and professional contacts on an international scale, as well as learn about some interesting new products and innovations in the medical field. The generous 2nd place prize money that we came home with is helping with key research and development costs, and we are very excited to return to a future NAPEC conference with a new, improved Tampostatâ„¢ device made possible in part by the feedback and resources gained at NAPEC 2012."
